Our Kitchen

It finally feels like things are coming together in our home! I actually had the time to hang up some artwork around the house so it’s feeling extra cozy in here now! Our home sign was gifted to us from my boss, however I have found one just as cute from my favorite store, Kirklands!

There is still a lot of work to be done in our kitchen. Kyle and I still need to pick out our backsplash, and have all the cabinet hardware installed. We are also adding crown molding to the top of the cabinets to give it a finished look.

Finding a pendant light was quite the debacle! I really wanted a boho vibe in the kitchen and was desperate to find a rattan basket pendant light. I really loved the Headlands Bell Pendant from Serena & Lily, however I could not pull the trigger and spend that much on lighting. On a mission to find the best dupe ever, I found one that looked exactly like it for a quarter of the price at World Market! If you haven’t shopped at World Market before, I highly suggest their website for affordable home goods! They had a Basked Weave Bamboo Pendant Lamp that was literally identical to the Serena & Lily one!

Unfortunately, the World Market pendant did not wind up working for me due to the fact that the lighting kit is sold separately and I could not find one that was compatible to hardwire in brass gold. I would highly suggest this pendant if you were looking for a swag kit, or didn’t need brass gold hardware.

This led me to continue my hunt for the perfect kitchen pendant light! Since I was going for a boho, modern infused style – I decided to check out one of my favorite stores, West Elm. Of course, I fell in love right away with a pendant light they had. The Sculptural Glass Geo Pendant was going to be perfect for my space! Im really loving the mid-century modern feel it gave off. It’s normally $99, but they are having a limited time offer for $79 which is so affordable! Since it was full price when I was shopping, I had to check out amazon before I could make a commitment. I’m so glad I did! I found the exact same pendant for way less! They are under $90 on amazon, however they had a 10% off coupon at the time which brought it down to under $80 a pendant, saving me a total of $40 for my lights!

I will be sure to share more images of our final kitchen once its complete! Any backsplash suggestions? This will be our next project! I’m trying to decide if I want to go with subway tile or a different tile. How much longer do you think subway tile will be in style for? I love the look, but I’m also over it at the same time!

If you love anything pictured, I have linked everything for you below to shop!
